Introduction<\/h3>\n\n<p>City Report is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of users. This policy transparently describes how personal data is collected, used, stored, and protected as part of the use of the City Report mobile application (hereinafter, the &#8220;App&#8221;), in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 (GDPR) and applicable law. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Role of City Report and scope of service<\/h3>\n\n<p>City Report is an <strong>independent civic tool to support citizens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The App allows users to document and submit reports of problems in the area, facilitating the forwarding of information through <strong>publicly available contact channels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>City Report:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>does <strong>not represent<\/strong>, <strong>is not affiliated with<\/strong>, <strong>is not endorsed<\/strong> by, and <strong>does not operate on behalf of<\/strong> any municipality, public body or administration;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>does not provide public services<\/strong> or replace or supplement institutional systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>does not guarantee<\/strong> that administrations will take charge, respond or intervene;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>acts solely as a <strong>technical facilitator<\/strong> for active citizenship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Personal data processed through the App <strong>are not processed on behalf of public entities<\/strong> or for institutional or decision-making purposes of public administrations.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. What data we collect<\/h3>\n\n<p>Personal data that may be collected include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Personal information<\/strong>: name, email address, voluntarily provided by the user;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Geolocation data<\/strong>: geographical location detected by GPS at the time of reporting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Multimedia content<\/strong>: photographs, videos and text uploaded by the user;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical data<\/strong>: information about the device used, browser type, IP address, date and time of access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Purpose of processing<\/h3>\n\n<p>Personal data are processed exclusively for the following purposes:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enable users to create, manage and consult their reports;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow the user to forward reports using publicly available contact channels;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide informational features and notifications regarding the status of reports;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve the services offered by City Report and the overall user experience;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fulfilling legal obligations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>City Report does not <strong>process personal data on behalf of municipalities<\/strong> and does not conduct institutional management of reports.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Legal basis for processing<\/h3>\n\n<p>The processing of personal data is based on:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The performance of a service requested directly by the user;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The user&#8217;s consent, where applicable;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The fulfillment of legal obligations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Data communication and sharing<\/h3>\n\n<p>Personal data are not disseminated.<\/p>\n\n<p>Information contained in reports (such as location, problem description, and multimedia content) may be <strong>submitted at the user&#8217;s initiative<\/strong> through publicly available contact channels. Such information does not include user identification data, unless the user explicitly chooses otherwise. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Data storage and security<\/h3>\n\n<p>City Report adopts high security standards to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.<\/p>\n\n<p>The data are kept for the time strictly necessary to provide the service requested by the user and then deleted or anonymized, in accordance with current regulations.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Rights of users<\/h3>\n\n<p>Users may exercise their rights under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR at any time, including:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Right of access to personal data;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right to rectification or erasure;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right to restrict or oppose processing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Right to data portability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Inquiries can be sent to the contact information listed in this policy.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Cookies and similar technologies<\/h3>\n\n<p>No cookies are used in the City Report App.<\/p>\n\n<p>The cityreport.info website may use technical and analytical cookies to improve the user experience.
