Terms and Conditions of Use for Users of City Report
Background note
The following Terms and Conditions have been revised to clarify City Report’s role as an independent civic tool and not as a municipal or institutional service, consistent with the Privacy Policy and App Store guidelines.
1. Introduction
Welcome to City Report. By using the application you declare that you have read, understand and fully accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these conditions, please do not use the App.
2. Nature of service
City Report is a digital tool to support active citizenship that allows users to document and submit reports related to problems in the area.
City Report:
- Is not a public service;
- does not represent, is not affiliated with, or operate on behalf of municipalities or public agencies;
- does not guarantee that administrations will take up, handle, or resolve reports.
3. Registration and account
Registration is required to create reports. You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
4. Using the application
The App allows users to create alerts via text, images, video and geolocation. Reports must be relevant, truthful, and in accordance with current regulations.
5. User responsibility
The user is solely responsible for the content submitted through the App. Submitting content that is false, misleading, defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, illegal or infringes on the rights of others is prohibited.
6. Content and intellectual property
By uploading content, you warrant that you have the necessary rights or required permissions. You grant City Report a non-exclusive, royalty-free, time-limited license solely for the purpose of operating the App.
City Report does not acquire any institutional representation rights to the submitted content.
7. Privacy and data processing
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the official City Report website, which is an integral part of these Terms.
8. Limitations of liability
City Report acts solely as a technical support platform.
Specifically:
- is not responsible for the actions, omissions, or response timing of municipalities or public agencies;
- does not guarantee outcomes, interventions, or resolutions;
- Is not liable for user-generated content;
- is not responsible for damages resulting from improper or unlawful use of the App.
9. Account suspension or termination
City Report reserves the right to suspend or terminate the user’s account in case of violation of these Terms, misuse of the App or harmful behavior towards the platform or third parties.
10. Complaints and reports
Any complaints or reports regarding the use of the App can be sent to: info@cityreport.info.
11. Changes in terms
City Report reserves the right to change these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use of the App implies acceptance of the changes.
12. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. Any disputes will be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court provided by the applicable regulations.
